RugArea.com strives to provide the best possible experience for every one of our customers. If you receive a rug that you're in any way unhappy with, simply return the purchase to us for an exchange or a full refund.
Read below to find out if you qualify to return your item. If you do, follow the instructions on how to return an item.
Time Limitations
- Returns initiated within 30 days of receipt of shipment will qualify for a full refund. After 30 days, no returns will be accepted.
- Items must be return-shipped within 7 days of the issuance of a return authorization (RA#) Items return-shipped later than 7 days will be refused and returned to sender.
Shipping
- The cost of return shipping (and any associated shipping insurance) is the responsibility of the customer.
- If a refund is chosen, RugArea.com will reimburse the amount you paid for the product.
Fees
- Customer is responsible for the costs of return shipping (and any associated shipping insurance).
Product Condition
- To qualify for a refund, all returned products must be in their original condition.
- We will not accept rugs that are stained, soiled, bleached, overly worn or damaged in any way. Credit will be withheld for items returned in this condition.
Receiving Your Refund
- After RugArea.com has received the return, please allow 2-3 weeks for your credit to be processed.
- Items returned without a Return Authorization number (RA#) may be refused, or subject to a restocking fee. This includes rugs for which the initial shipment was refused by the customer.
- Your refund will begin processing as soon as we receive the returned item(s), complete with RA#.
- RugArea.com is not responsible for return shipments damaged in transit. Please use shipping insurance to minimize your risk.
Qualified Merchandise
- RugArea.com accepts only returns on area rugs.
- Accessories, including but not limited to rug pads, cleaner, stair treads, trivets, pillow shams are non-returnable.
- Specially marked rugs, such as those in the "Clearance Corner" and items labeled "Blowout" are non-returnable.
- Custom-made rugs are non-returnable. This includes rugs for which at least one dimension is determined by the customer (eg, runner length).
Other Qualifications
- Due to shipping cost considerations, we are not able to accept returns from Alaska, or Hawaii. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- Other items labeled "non-returnable" on the RugArea.com website are not eligible to be returned.
- We cannot be held responsible for attempted cancellations of orders that have already been shipped. Applicable orders will have to follow the return process.
NOTE: Most orders ship within 3-5 business days.

To return an order, follow these 3 simple steps:
- Call 1-800-788-1179 or email returns@rugarea.com for your Return Authorization Number (RA#), making sure to specify the reason for your return.
- Affix the RA# securely to the original packaging, in an easy-to-see location. This is important. If we are unable to identify the rug, we may have difficulty providing a credit.
- Ship the item(s), via your carrier of choice, to the address provided by your RugArea.com representative. We recommend using shipping insurance to minimize risk of damages in transit.
